Tempered Safety Glass
Heat-treated glass for strength and safer breakage
Tempered, or toughened, glass is heat-treated to increase its strength compared with ordinary annealed glass. If it breaks, it is designed to fragment into relatively small pieces rather than large sharp shards, making it suitable for many safety-glazing applications.
Paul Tonna Son of Santu Ltd tempers suitable clear, tinted, low-iron, Low-E and coated glass subject to the product specification. Typical applications include shower enclosures, doors, partitions, splashbacks, furniture, shopfronts and selected façade or balustrade components.
Every edge, hole, notch and cut-out must be completed before tempering because tempered glass cannot be cut or drilled afterwards. Send us final dimensions, glass type, thickness, edgework and machining details for technical review and a quotation in Malta.
